#NationalCoffeeDay //OXO BARISTA BRAIN
In honor of National Coffee Day, I wanted to dedicate to a post to my OXO Barista Brain 9-Cup Coffee Maker. I was so excited when Influenster chose to send me a coffee maker to review! I am a huge coffee lover and was excited about this opportunity. Originally, I told James that I would try out the machine and he could take it to his office since they don't have a coffee maker. Our coffee maker brews 12-Cups and OXO only brews 9-Cups and I wanted to keep the larger one at home.
After a few days of using this coffee maker, I quickly changed my mind! I loved the sleek design and how much better it fit in my coffee area nook. The reality of the situation is that I am the only person that drinks coffee at home and it's usually only about 6 cups. When we have guests in our home, obviously we would need a larger coffee maker but this only happens 3-4 times a year. Plus, this coffee makers brew so quickly, it wouldn't be a problem to have to brew multiple pots.
The coffee maker gives you the option to brew 2-4 cups or 5-9 cups, which I think is awesome. The brew time changes based on how many cups are needed. This coffee maker is just so accommodating!
I personally enjoy warm coffee, I don't like drinking things that are too hot because a) it hurts my teeth and b) I don't want to burn my tonuge! The water heats to the 'perfect temperature' for coffee, which apparently is 197.6 degrees. In addition, the water is dispensed similar to a rainmaker showerhead, which ensures equal distribution. Coffee never tastes burnt or bitter!
I really love the restaurant-style stainless steel coffee pot. I am way too accident prone to have a glass coffee pot. I had been surprised that I hadn't broken my previous pot yet! Also, one time I made coffee and forgot to dump it out and it was still hot the next morning!!! Oh, that's the other thing, the coffee makers turns itself off after awhile and I haven't had to worry about accidentally leaving it on.
Once the coffee is brewed, the LED interface displays freshness status. So it will let you know, you brewed this pot about 27 minutes ago, DRINK UP! I think it's a neat feature. The coffee makers offers a wake-up timer but I haven't used it yet because I don't have to be anywhere in the mornings. I'm sure it works perfectly, just like the rest of the machine.
Thank you Influenster for the best campaign yet!
