It was really nice to come home to this package upon my return from Guatemala. I really love the geometric rainbow vibes of this month's BirchBox. Cannot thank my SIL, Jen enough for gifting me this subscription! I never knew how much I needed a monthly box in my life.
NUXE Rêve De Miel Facial Cleansing Gel // I was introduced to the NUXE brand when I sampled their Huile Prodigieuse dry body oil in the Bloom Vox Box that I received via Influenster. This face cleanser doubles as a makeup remover as well. I always need to do a preliminary swipe of makeup remover across my eyes before washing my face. This gel did a great job on removing the leftover makeup from my eyes. It gently washed away the rest of my makeup, however, I def needed to finish this routine off with REN Skin Care 3-in-1 Rosa Centafolia Cleansing Water. The smell is sweet floral, honey mixed with Grandma's Sunday perfume, so distinct scent, like many of their products. This face cleanser is next up on my products to purchase!
BALANCE ME Congested Skin Serum // I love the woodsy, herbal scent of this congested skin serum. It smells calming yet potent. I know I've mentioned in previous posts that I have been seriously battling chin acne. I'm always prone to popping blemishes but sometimes it takes some outside assistance to get rid of my zits. I haven't used this product as much as I thought I would have to because my skin kinda cleared up after I started using it! It is a serum that doubles as a spot treatment. It helped balance out my skin after weather changes and an abnormal travel routine, without drying out my skin! This serum is formulated with Aloe Vera extract, which has wonderful healing and soothing properties. The best part is that they do not test on animals. :)
LAURA GELLER Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator // At first, I thought this was eyeshadow but was even happier to realize that it is an illuminator. I love to highlight; it's minimal touch that adds a big pop (for me anyway). During the Summer, I try to keep my face routine pretty basic. I use Tarte Cosmetics BB Tinted Primer, Bare Minerals Matte Foundation, NARS Blush, followed with a spritz of Coola or Urban Decay Makeup Setting Spray. I have added to my daily face a swipe of Gilded Honey on my cheekbones, down the bridge of my nose, and an upside down triangle in the middle of my forehead with my Sephora Pro Precision Blush Brush #73. It's amazing how much a little shimmer can brighten up the face. Nothing makes you feel more fierce walking out of the door that a bronzey glow.
SUPERGOOP! Daily CC Cream SPF 35+ // At first, I scoffed at the size of this sample but there was definitely more product in this tiny package than in the Luminous 3-Minute Peel! The Light/Medium cover is perfect shade for my not yet tanned skin and it covers my imperfections, naturally. Honestly, not even sure if I care about getting tan anymore. I care about not getting wrinkles! This moisturizing sun cream features SPF 35 that protects against harmful rays, I have been using that same tinted primer for awhile now but I loved this CC Cream so much that I bought it. It's great because it's light yet long-lasting.
REAL CHEMISTRY Luminous 3-Minute Peel // I wanted this product to be amazing but it just wasn't. First of all, it looks like one of those applesauce packages for kids. I held off using this, so that I could wait to really polish myself. The package does say to concentrate of specific areas, but I was hoping there would be enough product to do my entire body. NOPE. I wanted to make sure that I could do my lower-legs as I hadn't been moisturizing properly. I was going to save some for my arms but there was barely any left! I put the rest on my upper leg. The consistency felt like snot! It did not feel like it was exfoliating AT ALL. I was totally disappointed by this product. :(
Loving 4 out of 5 products ain't too shabby! Can't wait for my July Birchbox!
