Every weekend is a whirlwind of fantastic fun. This weekend was extra special because our Judy girl, Lauren popped into town for a quick visit! We only had a few hours until her next destination, so we took her boyf, Matt on a mini tour of Richmond. We went through The Fan and Downtown to get to Church Hill, where we brunched at Union Market. I love that it is half market/half restaurant. We went down the street for a gorgeous view of the city at the Libby Hill Overlook. Next, we rolled into Oregon Hill and hit up Hollywood Cemetery to say hello to a few dead presidents. I have lived in Richmond for 10 years, but it is always still so fun to explore new places with friends. After they left town, I had to recharge my life with groceries, La Croix, and a cactus water.
Sundays are normally a day of rest, but I set my alarm early to head to Sephora for their VIB Rouge: Beauty Before Brunch event. After battling the snooze button, we made it to the store with 20 minutes to spare. It was perfect because I wasn't able to analyze my purchases, therefore I bought things that I truly needed; no regrets! I struck out twice while trying to get an eye exam, while also failing to find any pool floats or inner tubes available for purchase. Later in the afternoon, James and I rode bikes with friends, ate tacos, ice cream, and gossiped. He went to a show while I tried out my new rose clay mask while eating a quesadilla in the bathtub. Summer weekends can be exhausting, but so worth all of the fun.
Two Judys and our matching backpacks, reunited!
My Holy Trinity is COFFEE // KOMBUCHA // MIMOSA at Union Market
I am a sucker for new trends. True Nopal Cactus Water reminds me of unsweetended raspberry tea and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
This is what my OCC Lip Tar in Hoochie looks like on a coffee cup.
We went on a 7 mile bike ride with friends and I swam in the river for the 3rd time in the 10 years that I have lived in Richmond.
Best way to cool off after a fun day. I love everything maple flavored. This fit frozen treat by Arctic Zero is very tasty, but not vegan. :(
The only way to unwind from a busy weekend is to take a bath (and eat a quesadilla while submerged.)
Red Poppy and Hemp Bath Salts from Kneipp.
Have a wonderful week, Judys!
