As a fixed Earth sign beauty junkie, eco-concious skin care is always on my radar. In the past, I used to believe that natural products were not as effective as those made with synthetic ingredients. Boy, was I wrong!?! Lately, I have been so intrigued by the unique ingredients that make up most of my skincare products! I really would like to know who discovered that algae is a great moisturizer or that turmeric can brighten the complexion. As much as I try to live a holistic lifestyle, it has been important for me to restructure my beauty routine with organic & luxurious products.

I am so happy to have been recently introduced to Elements Beauty Shop, a local RVA boutique specializing in luxury natural skin care, bath & body products. I was recently connected with Christina of Tiramisu For Breakfast  and was thrilled that she invited me to be an Elements Beauty Blogger!  The shop has been in Carytown for a little over two years and I couldn't believe that I had never been before this month. I am beyond excited to have an eco-aware beauty shop in Carytown. I love to support local RVA businesses, especially when they are in walking distance! :D

Not only is Elements of Carytown a local business; they are family AND female owned. I was so pleased to meet the owners, Sherry & Jeanie, when I popped into the store. It is so refreshing for business owners to be on location! Beauty shops can be overwhelming. There are so many products and prices and I really just don't want to break any thing. They were extremely welcoming and made me feel comfortable as I was mesmerized by all of the amazing brands they have in stock!! Elements Beauty Shop carries an array of product lines, many of which do not test on animals and are certified organic (some gluten-free). It is important to know the ingredients that we are putting onto our skin, our body's largest organ!

Side story: I recently became aware of Malin + Goetz while in NYC last month. Adam shared with their Mojito Lip Balm with me and a cycling studio I went to had all of their body care products in the restroom. Honestly, I wanted to try this brand based on their package design. I was SO PUMPED to see that Elements is an authorized retailer! It was meant to be. Sherry promptly guided me to their Dark Rum perfume, which smells luscious.

If you are not in RVA, don't fret! Elements of Carytown has a strong online presence and all products are available for purchase online. They ship anywhere throughout the U.S. Elements encourages their shoppers to post their #ElementsBeautyHaul on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest! (Follow my Favorite Products Pinterest Board!)  One winner is chosen every month to win a $50 gift card! The shop has an amazing Loyalty Points program. Signing up is free! You'll receive 1 point for every $1 that you spend. Each point is worth 10 cents off your next purchase, which means you'll get a discount on your next purchase! You can also earn points by reviewing products and sharing posts on Facebook or Twitter. Ya don't have to tell me twice!

I am a sucker for ribbon.

Juara, Juice Beauty, Lather and SO MANY MORE FANTASTIC BRANDS. I can't even handle it!

Y'all know I love a masque selfie.  I tried this Ren Clarimatte Invisible Pores Detox Mask after a workout. I will try anything that may shrink my pores and this mask did not disappoint! Total purification achieved.

Stay tuned! Next week, I will be reviewing all of the products in my sample box.

Elements Beauty Shop is located at 3425 W. Cary Street, Richmond, VA 23221.

Mark your calendars for their Skin is In: Spring Beauty Bash Event on May 7th ! Experts from premiere beauty brands will be in the house and there will be opportunities to win swag! You won't want to miss it!
